jolly ol' st. nick dam Rich. As a boy, his thick bangs and belly won him the part of
Nicholas on "Eight is Enough"
(to fill our lives with luv).
Later, he bloomed into a heroin addict (surprising no one)
and made the papers by throwing himself down a flight of stairs in rehab,
hoping for painkiller-requiring injuries.
I spotted him, all grown up, at Starbucks.
He appeared sober, rosy-cheeked with 12-step wisdom,
nursing a cigarette and coffee. And looking ready for a reunion episode.
